RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread
Thanks for the suggestions, I already ordered an upgrade. Just a few questions left:
1: Can I save old Windows 32 bit files after the upgrade and if so, how can I do such a thing?
2: Can I run 32 bit programs in Windows 64 bit?
Also, I tend to play games on low graphics. You may argue it breaks immersion but low frame rate is worse.

1. You can save all of your personal files on an external hard drive or an other partition.
2. Yes.
You may can look to get a GeForce GTX 960 or a Radeon R9 280X. It will be much faster than your 8800 GT.

RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread
Funny thing:
All the pictures in the steam page, game site, trailers, are only Upsilon's. There is one trailer about Thetha and besides that, nothing. Not even one picture from Delta, Omega, nothing. Only Upsilon.

As far as most media goes. They've mainly been showcasing Upsilon because it is likely the first area in the game you visit and to show the rest of the Pathos-II complex would be getting into spoiler territory. No one has any idea what's in Tau, Phi, Delta and Omega. I'm actually glad for that because it's exciting not knowing what lies there.

RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread
Heck, even Lambda and Theta haven't really been touched on much, or obviously identified (aside from the initial videos of them from way way back when on Frictionals youtube channel). I mean, I'm sure there's likely footage from those places in either the quick-cut E3 Teaser or especially in some of the beta-previews that some outlets shot video of. But I definitely haven't been so keen on watching those so I don't get spoiled again.

I also like how they're keeping most of SOMA top-secret. I think in one interview, Aaron said that they were saving the H. R. Giger stuff (like in the teaser) for the endgame.

RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread
Yeah, I also like how the Teaser which was shown off many years ago and seen by so many is something that is not in the game. I mean, in terms of expectations it's not something where you'll stumble upon and be all "hey! I remember this from the trailer, I know what's gonna happen!". Pretty cool that they made that segment just for show and even has a different protagonist.
Also, just venturing a guess from some of the maps, but it seems like some of the substructures of Pathos like Tau and Phi are at a lower depth in the ocean than the first areas like Upsilon, so I imagine there'll be lots of more freakier things down there.
