Possibly it is sound related, try setting system to default to another sound output, just for testing. Possibly check for sound driver updates.

I Have no antivirus running, and have no other program that should be interfering running.

I tried updating the soundcard, and used an external one with no luck.

Hi! SOMA is not working for me. It won't start. I'm running windows 7 64 bit. AMD updated.

I tried to run the exe as administrator but it gives me this error 0xc0150002

It's also not working for me. I'm running on Windows Vista 64, and the game won't start. It's not showing up in the "My Games" folder, so I can't get an HPL.log. I updated my drivers, but I'm still having the same problem.

I will make a new steam version later today

I installed this last nite from Steam and I was having the same error (GetThreadGroupAffinity) as the dude you were helping. I downloaded the test version you posted in this forum and that works for me too. Be advised the minimum requirements displayed on Steam store say this game runs in VISTA. :-)

Thank you for posting an alternate exe here.

I did try changing those settings, but that didn't seem to help with Soma. I am also running Amnesia:TDD and Amnesia:AMFP with no issues on the same machine.

Any update on this? I downloaded the latest version from Steam and I still get the same error, no changes. I also tried the "Vista" fix, even though I'm using Windows 10, but that didn't help either.

Are you guys working on a fix for this? It seems that many are having similar issues.

Thank you.

I am running Windows 7 32bit
Is it possible (or will it be?) to launch the game somehow without reinstalling Windows (and all my working software as well)?

In simple, no. SOMA requires 4GB of RAM to run, and 32-bit caps the RAM capacity at 2GB.

It's more so capped at 3.7 but Windows itself likes to use at least 1 GB. Although it should be possible to run on a 32-bit system, the requirements state otherwise because you CAN run into RAM issues.
