Beggining of overture

when i begin playing some objects apear blacked out,when moving they sometimes appear,then when i leave the ship there is no ground to see and white lines across the screen,ive updated my drivers anyone have an idea?

Ah, that's a common problem. Just follow this link and download the patch. That SHOULD take care of this issue.

You probably already have 1.0.3, in which case you should use this hotfix for ATI cards:
