Stuck in dream sequence

In room with ladder. Can't find any switch on either level. Turning valve on upper level just fills lower room with "blood". Please.Need help. desperately.:cry:

Oh yes red('s) blood. The lever what you need to operate to open the door is in the lower room. Just look to the roof, and you certainly will find it. Yes, Philip can swim, and dive. So jump into the blood, and turn the lever.
