hospitable is the key word. Like Star Trek or something. No bullshit space ships that are dimly lit with flickering lights and giant canyons by design.

I don't think the lights typically flickered before the demons ate everyone. Things tend to go into a state of disrepair if left without maintenance and hordes of violent demons scampering about.
