Game crashes repeatedly in the same place

So I've played the game successfully up to this point. Now I'm at the place where I've just crossed the green slime (the giant worm is after me!) and I'm approaching the pillar. No matter what I do here, the game crashes. I've updated my drivers and tried all the fixes in the Troubleshooting section, to no avail. The only thing I changed in Settings was the auto-save, but I changed it back to see if that would help. No dice. I'm attaching a copy of the Log file.

OK I finally got it to work by going back to an old save and playing forward from there again.
