Hi all,

I downloaded the demo from Steam. I use Windows 7 64 bit and an Nvidia 8800 GTS card with the latest drivers (Forceware 258.96 WHQL).

Clicking "Launch Game" from the launcher results in a crash with the following message:
FATAL ERROR: Renderer #0 could not be initialized! Make sure your graphic card drivers are up to date. Check log file for more information.

The crash occurs with all graphics and sound settings in the launcher.

The resulting log is:

Once the demo actually started, with a resolution of 1024X768 (my native resolution is 1680X1050), but when I tried to run it again it failed and have done do since.

Hope you can help,
Thanks.

It might be that your drivers, for some reason, only support a certain resolution size. And when u tried higher, they freaked out Smile

Have you tried restarting computer?

Otherwise it might be some setting thing, and to fix that download latest drivers, uninstall old, reboot, install new, reboot.

I know u say you already have latest, but sometimes installations gets messed up and u need to make a fresh install.

First of all, thank you for your quick reply Thomas.

The demo works for me now, regardless of graphics settings!
Indeed, all I had to do was to reboot my computer after installing the game.
I don't understand why, as the game has no drivers that need to be loaded at boot process (or does it?), but it works and that's all that matters to me Smile

And now for the next logical step: Pre-ordering the game from Steam!

Thanks again Thomas.
