[Complaint] game does not start

I bought this game because he has acid spoken highly of him, but was not the only thing that I noticed. I bought the ORIGINAL not have any problems, but unfortunately I'm disappointed for that reason. I live in Porto Velho, Rondonia, Brazil. I paid in dollar, but did not complain much because it is helping the company but the support for Linux and even the games for that platform.

I hope that some solution is made, do I go around speaking evil of this game, let alone NOT SHOW THE GAME.

Still want to buy all the games producer, but if there is a commitment of support ... I will even opt for the game not ORIGINAL. my friend is with him the pirate, and not had any problems.

I leave my complaint here!

I use Ubuntu 4.10 64bit

Detail, already installed in "/ home" "/ user / local / games" ... etc.. Dodgy

Can you please provide more information about your system. Including video card, Linux distribution, 32 bit or 64 bit, and if possibly attach any hpl.log or launcher.log located in the ~/.frictionalgames/Amnesia/Main

Without any specifics at all of your issue it is near impossible to assist.

These files are generated automatically when trying to start the game. No additional command needed.

Can you zip up and send me the AutoSave_EntranceHall_2010_9_10_22_26_29_0.sav file located in this directory /home/ovenilson/.frictionalgames/Amnesia/Main/Nilson/ ?

I just want to chime in and say that I have the exact same problem on a near-random basis. I've been playing the game and it has been running perfectly for me (I love it, by the way!), but sometimes when I try to continue my game, I just get a segmentation fault and the game dies after quickly flashing the loading screen. Nothing in dmesg, and the end of my hpl.log looks just like OP's (except the filename, of course).
I just keep trying to load the game and continue, and it usually finally works on the 3rd try. I've checked all the advice on the stickies in the forum, but nothing seems to fix this problem for me; since it eventually works after trying a few times, though, I haven't cared to complain.

I still have some hopes that the problem is solved ... I'm holding on for not being able to choose the generic game .... and difficult to believe that we are serious problems with the game being "original ".......

But ... have time for everything ...
