I highly doubt it. they *claimed* graphics updates in 10.6.5 but there really weren't any.

What's frustrating is that this cursor issue doesn't hit everyone, as I can not recreate it on either of my macs.

Blah. I wish there was something that I could do to address it, outside of using another computer. My MacBook Pro is the newest computer in my house, with the early 2007 White iMac bringing up a distant second. Obviously, I doubt that it would be much suited to deal with Amnesia.
SUCCESS!!! I deleted the SDL frameworks that I installed to run an emulator (which I ended up never using) and now the cursor no longer appears! Hooray!!!

woah.. where did you have the SDL frameworks installed? where did you get them from?
And why was it using that one instead of the built-in one?

I got the framework from libsdl.org.
I'll have to check whether users have their own "frameworks" folder, but I had in one of them.

That is very strange.. as Amnesia includes the SDL framework (1.2.14) from libsdl.org. And the linkage is configured to only load the one included with amnesia so it seems odd that a system installed version would interfere.

I use 10.6.5 and this problem isn't happening to me. Try changing the resolution around.

It was strange, but I deleted it so now everything is working perfectly. Kudos on making such a great game!

I'm running a 3.6GHz i5 iMac with OS 10.6.5 and an ATI Radeon HD 5670 (512MB) and have been experiencing the same problem that flashadams described above - The standard mouse cursor being perpetually stuck in the middle of the screen while I play.

Curiously, the cursor doesn't show up in screenshots taken using CMND + Shift + 3.

Unfortunately, I don't have a framework to delete to fix the problem. From what you guys have said I guess I'll be waiting on Apple, which is to say I might be able to play Amnesia over Summer break. Ah well. It'll be just as good then as now. Smile

EDIT: Success! As of the OS 10.6.7 update I'm no longer experiencing this issue on my iMac and can play the game as intended.
