Not Solved Unexpected Crash during startup, no Mods or anything installed.

Hi,

When i tried to launch "Amnesia A Machine For Pigs" an unexpected crash appeared.

I don't have any mods installed, maps, or whatever, just the default game.

I don't know if i pasted this right, or if i pasted the right thing for you to have a look, i hope i did, otherwise tell me and i'll look for it

Thank you,

shaady91.-

i forgot to add: I already verified integrity of games files and installed the game again and still crashes

You need to include the hpl.log file from Documents\Amnesia\Pig\. It should say why the game crashed.

Here it is.

"WARNING: Could not find language file entry 'WelcomeMessage05'"

Maybe that's why it crashed ?

Yes, that's likely why, but I don't know why that would happen if you didn't mod it. Hmmm...

I'm not at the computer right now to check, but can you post the contents of the pre_menu.cfg file from your install directory /config folder?

Looks the same on my end. Must be something else then. I thought that caused a crash though, because I think it does in HPL2, but AMFP runs on HPL2.5 so that crash might've been caught. I see no reason for it to otherwise be crashing. Might be worth trying to update display drivers. Also try going to the aamfp.exe file properties and check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings".
