[HELP!] Game keeps crashing

Hello there.

Tonight I purchased Amnesia: The Dark Descent for Windows. I purchased it through Steam and installed it as soon as I had bought it.

However, I keep getting a weird error before the game has even launched properly. A small window comes up asking me to change my graphics settings and so on. Then I click Launch Game and it crashes right away, before I get any further.



I have included the image above so you can see what error I am getting. I have tried all that I know from restarting my computer to changing the graphics.

Please help me, I am dying to play this game!

i also have the same problem as Delta301

my graphic card is a ATI mobility radeon 9600/9700
I've also checked if there was any new drivers for this card but there hasn't been one since like 2008

everytime I press Launch game it just crashes with the black box appearing

Hm... What graphics card do you have? It seems as if the game is trying software rendering...

My graphics card is a GeForce 8600 GT. Not really experienced any graphics problems the whole time I've had the computer.
