It's not a horror game but it has a good story and epic atmosphere.
They do "Gothic" before which is also good.

I think Penumbra Overture is the first best game ever made.
But when you knew it, it will be boring to play a second time.
If you olay it first time, it will be the best game.

Amnesia is literally one of those games I'm rarely excited to play and don't get tired of it.
Don't call me crazy, but I like the type of games where you have to run from something and it's scary as hell but still keeps it realistic.

Seriously.
One of the best games out there.
People that complain that the game sucks because it's scary are idiots.
Instead, they should be complimenting the game because it was so similar to reality it really creeped them out.
The game is to be judged by the gameplay itself, is it good to play or not (but the chasing is definately a plus), and maybe even the graphics are to be judged. I don't really know if they can be. Perhaps not.

I wouldn't consider Amnesia as "The best game ever" as this should require perfection in every possible way (according to me) although it certainly keeps a high standard.

In my eyes, Amnesia is just fucking masterpiece. FG guys are geniuses.
Even if I hate horror games (even Silent Hill series, forgive me!) Amnesia is propably the most enjoyable game ever made. The atmosphere, sounds, gameplay - it's piece of good' n 'awesome work.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is also easily one of my favourite games that I've ever played. It has that unique feeling to it.

It's a very good horror game and definitely on my list, but I wouldn't call it the best game ever. It would have to compete with Bioshock, The Batman:Arkham Series, HL2, and many other games that I think are pretty damn good.

It's a great game. Immersion is top notch, definitely shit scary to me and the plot was decently strong.

But no, not one the 'best games' to me personally. Bioshock 1 (and 2, that gets lots of flak but I genuinely enjoyed that), HL 2 + episodes, Alan Wake, and probably a bunch of others.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the game to bits, but for me it wasn't top 10 list material (and I'm generally not a shooter type player, so to have so many in my list is weird).

The Arkham series isn't that great. I mean, they're good -- one might go as far as to say they're really good; but not great.
