It is so bright because you have the lowest setting for the shader, increase it one or two steps and it should be dark as intended.

Not sure about those tearing errors, could be a driver issue.

If I set the shader to be anything but very low, I get the same issues I had at the start: rainbow colors and missing models.
Lowering the gamma sorta helped, but it just made everything darker.
