Screen Capturing issues

Hey guys. Just picked up a demo for Amnesia a bit ago. I really want to do a "Let's play" esque thing, because my girlfriend wants to see my reactions and such and we don't live anywhere near eachother. So I've been spending a while locating a good (free) screen capturing software, and I finally settled on BB Flashback, which is great, except for one thing.

It won't record Amnesia. It'll record anything else on my computer. World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2, you name it. But when I try to record Amnesia, the screen flickers for a second, then just records my desktop. It'll record the music and it'll record my face via webcam, but for the life of me, I can't record the actual game. Any suggestions, ideas?

Fraps should be able to record Amnesia without problems.

Yes, you will need to buy Fraps.

If you want you can try out the trial of PlayClaw which should be fully functional for a day or so. (if it is only the demo then that should be enough)

Otherwise Camtasia though not meant for game recording might work.
It has a 30-day trial, which should be enough for the full game.

Try playing in window mode.
And use this little trick: (spoilered because it is big)

First download ShiftWindow and install it.
Then make a rule that looks like this:

Start Amnesia in windowed mode and then when you run it press Ctrl+Shift+A and it will run in fullscreen. (actually windowed mode but the borders won't be shown as they are outside the screen)

I use Hypercam 2. Its not the best, but It gets the Job done. Download Hypercam 2, then download the DivX Codec for it.
