All menu's/inventories work but not gameplay?

Hi guys I just signed up, I have amnesia, It didn't work at first but after updating my drivers the game ran great. But when playing the game the menu's in the beginning are there, so are the voice overs and everything. But there's nothing its all black, I thought maybe the game was that dark that but after watching on youtube It's not.

I have an intel 2.7ghz processor and 4 gb ram. I thought my processor might be at fault but a friend of mine ran the game flawlessly with a processor at 2.3

Anyway thank you guys I really want to enjoy this great game.

Sounds like you have an Intel integrated graphics chip, which is below requierments to run the game I'm afraid.

Ok Thanks, I guess I won't be able to do anything since I can't change the processor on my laptop

Install patch 1.0.1 found here-http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-3754.html- this should allow you to play the game fine but with a bit of bumpy grounds hope this help happy gaming
