Can I register my physical copy with Steam?
So I picked Amnesia up at frys the other day while doing some other shopping.
Can I register this with steam and ditch the disk? Or am I going to have drive all the way back out there and try and get my money back with a return.
Thanks

Nope. Only pre-orders of Amnesia gave the chance to have keys for steam.

RE: Can I register my physical copy with Steam?
ugh, that's really stupid. it's like easier to just throw it in the trash and pirate at this point while having peace of mind that i paid for it. just sucks cause fry's had already paid the dev/publisher to hold it in inventory...so really everyone loses out cept frys

RE: Can I register my physical copy with Steam?
It's not stupid. If you want it to be in your Steam library, you need to buy it from Steam since Amnesia DOES NOT use Steamworks.
You are talking like your copy doesn't work at all. Why pirate it while you have physical copy to install on your PC?
If you buy it directly from Frictional Store, money directly goes to Frictional Games.
If you buy it from another digital publisher, they'll have their cut.
If you buy physical copy then THQ takes its cut.
Frictional Games is the publisher in Steam, so THQ doesn't have any right or agreement on Steam version, you cannot include it in Steam library in any legal way.
