Useful fact and possible spoiler: Pretty much every monster encounter can be avoided by waiting long enough until you hear the monster's theme music stop playing. When the music stops, the monster is gone or out of range.

Fact: Daniel appears to be an archeologist of some sort, or perhaps just a man looking for adventure. However, for some reason, I think there is something fishy going on and I'm trying to find anyway possible I can develop some crazy conspiracy that at least one more person will jump on board with.
