Amnesia Crashing problem

Okay, so my friend bought Amnesia:The dark descent on Steam and gifted it to me. I've NEVER played this and I want to REALLY badly. I got it downloaded no problem but it keeps crashing, here's what happens:

I click the Amnesia Icon on my desktop, "Preparing to Launch Amnesia" window opens from Steam, Launch Menu opens (settings, graphic quality, texture quality, etc etc) I set most stuff to medium and press "Launch Game" The screen goes black for a split second then a window in the top left say "Submitting crash report..." etc.

What can I do to fix this as soon as possible?

Please give thorough instructions please

Please post your hpl.log under Documents/Amnesia/Main
Also, giving some info, like your graphic card, OS would be good for us.

Another point, this is a technical support thread and moved to there.

most likely non-updated graphics drivers or Intel graphics card. Like Tan said, we need more info and the HPL.log file.

I don't know where to find any of that. I'm no computer whiz, so I'm just going to search for a patch or something. thanks.

Could you please post your hpl.log under Documents/Amnesia/Main
I think it's easier than searching a non-existed patch.

you cannot run the game. Your card supports OpenGL 1.4 when the game requires at least version 2.1
