Amnesia doesn't save my game

Hello, please help me...Every time I play Amnesia, nothing saves...no files no nothing and it doesn't even save profile...I tried with the patch but still no success.... Huh

Try to run the game as administrator? This, if you have Windows 7 or Vista.

If administrator doesn't work, attach us here the file HPL.log found under Documents\Amnesia\Main folder.

I too have this problem with Steam version.I am playing Justine now and it doesn't save anything.Also the game crashed back to windows after i was killed by a monster in the level where are many columns in the room that sustain the roof and the torches blow out automatically.After the sliders level.I atached the hpl log

you don't have any problem. In justine these two are normal. As said in the beginning of the DLC nothing is saved and death is final. So no problem there...

... ha..So even the crashing back to desktop is normal ...wow nice "punch" to shooty guys..
Anyway now i remember from old times when playing z80 games without saving... hihihi Smile

yes but it is just 20 minutes. If you are easily scared, well maybe 30 minutes. But this DLC forces you to continue at some monster points(near the end especially). You will see...

the same problem. I have a steam version of amnesia, and no matter what i do, it doesn't save my game nor does it create a permanent profile. There is no profile folder in "...\Documents\Amnesia\Main\".
The demo worked fine, there was a profile folder inside it with saves. I've tried to run the game as an administrator but it didn't work.

I use Windows 7 / 64 bit, and my steam files (with games) are on disk f:/

Try removing the current Amnesia folder in Documents, it could be that the write permissions are incorrect due to the demo having created them and now another application (the full game) tries to write to it.

Nope it didn't work. I've uninstalled the game, deleted the folder amnesia, and installed the game again. The game created the new folder "Amnesia" but like before no profile folder was made after creating one in the game. An interesting thing is that when I make a new folder in the "...\Documents\Amnesia\Main\" the game sees it as a profile folder. It doesn't seams to be a problem with an antivirus, I've disabled it and nothing changed. :/
