Is v2.5 able to export armatures?

I don't know, but modeling in itself works fine for me.

No, it isn't, I tried severall times and it can't export them. From simple to complex, it can't, it is a feature that was added, removed and never readded.

Umm you are saying blender's .dae format can't be used by modders around these forums?

If you are trying to animate or exporting armature, yes.
Other than that, for static objects it's pretty useful.

RE: Modelling in Cinema 4D?

I tried making a basic armature (one bone) to a single mesh, and reading the exported .dae shows that armatures are considered. However, when importing the .dae into the Model Editor of Amnesia, the editor crashes. Also, when importing the .dae into Blender, i can see the armature in the outliner and it still affects the mesh it is attached to, but its appearance and usage changes slightly. (This was using Blender 2.57.)

I am using Blender 2.49 and I use that to export .blend models to .dae. Most of the times it woks but I can tell if the model was made with Blender 2.5 because if I go to Outline, I cannot see the model details there.
