Solved: 8 Years, 9 Months ago A game malfunction prevents me from progressing

I get to one section in the game- the part where Daniel is supposed to have the interactive flashback with the orb - and the orb does not show up. I'm running on Windows 7 home premium, 64 bit, on an acer aspire 5742Z (laptop). My HLP.log file is in the correct place and is attached.

Please help me find a solution to this problem. Thanks in advance.

Tune down all graphic settings while playing that area, after passing the area set your settings to their former options.

Ok, you have the latest drivers installed. You can do two things:

1) Lower everything to the bare minimum and try the scene again. After that, raise them up again.
2) Skip this scene, it is possible.

How can I skip the scene? Ive checked key config and tried every key on my keyboard and none of them seem to skip the cutscene.

Not the cutscene. You can avoid this diary, you don't have to pick it up. You can continue the game without it. If you want to see it just check a youtube user playing it. It is not something important.
