Amnesia Crashes at the Startup! Assistance is required please.

  Untitled.jpg (Size: 180.32 KB / Downloads: 280) Okay, so i have been having trouble with the game so here's a full story so the administrators and players of the game won't get confused or angry.

About 5 months ago i downloaded Amnesia (hold on,that is not my problem furthermore,I've stopped torrenting a while ago as i got into some trouble).The game started crashing at the start when i launched it.And i automatically assumed it was because of the fact that it was downloaded.About 3 days ago, i was shopping with my mum with some spare pocket money and i saw Amnesia on the shelf along with Diablo II and a game called Hexplore.I decided to buy it since it was low price and never been used.However i had the same problem with the downloaded one i downloaded 5 months ago.It Crashes!Accept this time, it worked the first two days and even while i downloaded the updated patch with the "Justine" expansion.But it failed the third day during the evening.Something about "amnesia.exe caused an exception_access_violation in module amnesia.exe" It cannot be my graphics card since i update it and it's geforce go nvidia 7600.What could be wrong? It was working fine when i had it 5 months ago.I really wish to live the experience of playing this game so much!Here's some info you can use to help you solve my problem:
-My computer is a laptop
-My computer is composed of a 1.6GHZ Processor (Intel® Dual Core
-2.00GB of RAM
-Nvidia Geforce go 7400
-It worked on medium quality,quite modest really but fun overall.

I Appreciate any form of help,I've tried re-installing it, updating my graphics card but nothing seems to work i get the crash report every time. T.T

Really? Then how come i have the geforce go 7 series when i'm required to have at least ge force go 6 series? I don't think it's me graphics card.As it was working properly before it crashed again like the downloaded version.

If it's not enough it's not enough, you'll need another one to run the game.

Geforce Go 7 series barely supports system requirements. According to this page, it goes up to OpenGL 2.0. I believe the game requires at least OpenGL 2.1. If the game had worked at any one point, it would be due to the fact that up to that point it probably didn't touch on 2.1 features.

So what you are saying is....i cannot play amnesia unless it gets to open GL 2.1? Laptops aren't upgradable so playing amnesia would be impossible on my computer right?

So you run the game, saved it and then updated to v1.2 Justine patch? Old saves are not compatible with the newer updates and so if you try to load a save made with an older version of the game,it will crash.

Also GeForce Go 7600 is fully capable of OpenGL 2.1:

Okay mate, i'm going to try and run it with open GL 2.1 and give you some feed back afterwards.Oh just a side note, i deleted my previous saved games Still the same problem,any other suggestions please?
