Linear level design and the feeling that I am more skilled/agile than the monsters. *Glances in the general direction of AAMFP*

They actually had that in Penumbra, but they removed it in Amnesia for some reason.

Still hasn't gotten over the loss of wubwub...

Support for modding.

Also I hope we get to see a bunch of interviews with Thomas or Jens regarding SOMA. Heart

Hope to see:
The return of the lightstick from Penumbra, unlimited but weak lightsource that adds to the already freaky atmosphere.

Alien factor/fear of the unknown, keep the monster/enemy hidden for the most part of the game and let the players find vague information about it, scattered around.

Keep the monster/enemy "human-like" in appearance, but with inhuman behaviour.
Examples includes the ghosts from Silent Hill 4 and "missing frame" movement, trembling/shaking etc.

I'd like to swim, in the water you would not be able to see and hear much.
Also, an enemy able to haunt you while you're running and while you're swimming.

The Water Monster was amazing but it was so limited to the water, i would feel very uncomfortable if there was something able to kill me no matter where i go.

AAAAND. It would be interesting if the enemies are able to open doors and climb ladders.
Not sure if this is possible but it would be nice if it is.

I'm hoping for an Xbox One version of the game as I'm not getting a PS4 and my PC will not be strong enough to play SOMA most likely!

RE: What do you hope to see and not see in SOMA?

I'd just like a game which I can sit down and enjoy, and not feel inclined to feel otherwise. FrictionalGames and thechineseroom have done a great job thus far accomplishing this, and seeing as I have their previous projects to look on to say "Hey, I really like this game, so I'll get the next one they release."

FrictionalGames is the only studio I know of unless I have done so blindly, to give me this reaction. I would count my few years of Pokemon, but I get peer pressured into that ;3
