Texture Problems! The game is still glitchy (two days later)

I have been trying to get Penumbra: Black Plague to work properly ever since I installed it. I'm sure that many other people have been experiencing the following issue, too. The problem is that when I start the game the textures mess up. The floor textures zoom in and out, the door dissapears and reappears, and the lighting is dodgy. It's like living in a disco. I have installed two patches: 1.1 and 1.01, and none have made a difference. My drivers are up to date and I'm using an ATI Raedon HD 2600 xt. Can anyone help? Thanks.

So far 15 people have looked at this thread and walked away. I really want to play Penumbra BP but I can't.

I have Windows Vista. Aero has been disabled.

Try running the game after installing this:

However, your card supports up to OpenGL 2.0 and not 2.1 which the game requires. So, most probably you need a new graphics card.
