Game will only start on some resolutions and then it own't load

Make sure you reset the permissions that you changed first because you did something wrong and caused another error. Well the above programs are just examples, we can't know what is causing the problem but this is a software conflict as it seems.

Also, do a steam file integrity check or even a local content removal followed by letting the game redownload. After that rename the folder Amnesia at Documents to Amnesia-OLD and launch the game again.
