Like the lighting even if its not 100% realistick.
I suggest removing that decal underneath the drawers that has a white edge, it seems rather strange and the fault is entirely on FG for messing up the alpha.

I might be wrong, but are the candles on the left of picture 1 not emitting any light?
Huh, you're right. Gonna fix that right away ^^

Thanks, definitely gonna fix these issues
Better to have a story and end it, then to never realise it has begun...

The second picture looks pretty good, I'll talk about the first one.
Why is it so much light around the bookcase? I don't see a light source there, and imagining that there would be a candle in the part of the shelf that is blocked from view by the bed seems unrealistic, due to all the spiderweb and the shelf being completely empty otherwise.
Also, I can see there is very strong light behind the shelf. That, in reality, is impossible. I know its hard working with candles and lights in this engine, but those details are what really makes the game feel real.
The fog particle is clipping in the floor, creating a straight line along it. Particles are also hard, but try to move the fog or change the particle file.
All together;
- If there is a candle in the shelf, either keep the light in areas that it can logically reach, or remove it.
- Move the particle system.
- Make the candles to the right provide more light.
Other than that, good job on your maps!

Back from the dead (well, actually exams, which I in fact did pretty well, thus allowing me to focus back onto my Amnesia FC).
Anyway, onto the image:

RE: Screenshot criticism thread
After some time I finally came back to Amnesia, so I started creating some maps... yey.
There are missing some billboards on the lanterns etc. but.. forgot about that feature, didn't wanted to redo the screens.
Actually the atmosphere is a bit darker, but brightened it for you<3
You may not notice too many details here.. but that's sad, I actually made a lot of them :/ Whatever,
so.. what do you say, what shall be better? D:
If you're wondering about that spotlight coming from the corridor on the left.. I tried casting a moving grunt-shadow on the floor, but somehow didn't manage to get this thing not moving.. so. I took it via LevelEditor, sorry
Working on a full conv.-mod, first pictures coming soon...
Working with Blender and other Stuff since 2009.
Using HPL-Engine since 2012 (learning..)

RE: Screenshot criticism thread
Hey, thanks ! Glad to hear some positive feedback. (:
Uhm, not sure how to interprete your question...
In the case you wanted to know wether those are outside assets, yes.
In the case you wondered about, why there are plants inside.. right beside the plants is a broken wall, which I connected with some dirt, so.. the cellar is kinda open to the nature? Not sure if you can see that on the images, really hard to get everything in one picture.
