Mouse stuck, replacing sdl.dll files doesn't work

As some people have experienced when playing the game the mouse gets stuck in the upper left corner. You're then left staring at the ceiling spinning around. The solution for this problem was replacing the SDL.dll files, and for me this worked but only for the first time I played the game. When I closed the game and then reopened it later to play I found that the same thing was happening again. I had to reinstall Amnesia and replace the files again, but still nothing. I'm still staring at the spinning ceiling. There must be another solution.

Nothing is running in the background and I did a restart and it's still doing it.

I had Impulse tech support suggest deleting the Stardock and Impulse folders from the computer and still nothing is working.

I have been trying to play it in windowed mode because I can't use my mouse at all if I try full screen.

then there is a program conflict. Maybe antivirus or something. Check the troubleshooting guide for known programs that cause problems.
