If you manage to do the impossible and kill a brute or grunt, what happens? Do they have an animation for dying? I'm not sure what would happen. Since he doesn't have a death animation I'm not sure if it would just glitch and be a hollogram (standing still) or what. That is assuming we can find something to kill it with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_DY8glbI1c
I think this is what happens when the monsters die, unless this is a separate glitch. Maybe this only happens when this many objects collide with a monster? Wow! Great find! That's probably the BEST example of what would happen. I've never seen that bug before. Was that you playing in that video? Unfortunately, no. But I've seen the video before, and what kman said it would take to kill a monster sounded like what happened in the video, so I posted it.

The outcome of a Grunt (30-60 dmg) vs Brute (50-120 dmg) would still, in most cases, be the Brute. The Brute can still deal more damage than the Grunt per swing. Just wanted to ask, where did you find the regeneration speeds and health for the ATTD monsters? And also, is it possible to calculate how much damage the player can do the monsters in ATTD?

Since I use linux, not sure if its the same for windows, but in
Amnesia/entities/enemy/ is the location for the monsters in ATDD. In servant_brute, for example, has all of the information on for it, including its 'servant_brute.ent' file. This file has all of its stats, such as health and regeneration speed. You can even open it in the Amnesia Model Editor and check out or modify its stats.
To see how much damage you can do to it, in the entities folder, lists all of the other models used. I would check these out (search for 'HitDamageAmount') and that should help. A Wood Box, for example, does 5 points of damage... which doesn't help versus regeneration. Now if we had that TNT from Penumbra, that would sure help!

I like that trailer, new monsters, nice outside environments, and it seems that Jessica Curry is making a nice ost.
That's exciting!

If they will, it will probably be released after the game.

Yes, black crying cats really would give an atmospheric bonus to the game.
The ultimative goal is to make a game what is scary even when nothing is happen.
