I'm having this problem with the graphics (All I see is Darkness)
I've tried to follow your guide for updating graphics drivers, but all I have is "Intel HD Graphics Family" and no "2000", "3000" or whatever
my computer is just like this picture but with the bottom two things and not the top one: http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/3416/39358181.png
So I'm not sure which place to go to to update it and afraid to go for either one in case it messes it up.

I got to the last part (the file in the graphics folder had a completely different name than it said in the guide btw) and windows said the update can't be verified and could make my computer stop working completely.
I'm far too scared to just go ahead with it anyway...

On the screen before the install it's listing all the different 1000s... like this:

... I don't know what to do

What operating system do you have? Also 32-bit or 64-bit? What driver are you downloading? Attach HPL.log as said in the sticky guides

I have Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit version. I'm on a laptop if that makes any difference.
I downloaded the driver linked to in 1a ... the file name is "win7_64_152612"

Attached Files
.log   hpl.log (Size: 6.46 KB / Downloads: 209)

You downloaded everything correctly, at the screen that you are stuck select the first one (Intel HD Graphics).
