Unable to create profile, game "crashes" on close

I recently reinstalled amnesia to test my new internet when I found it actually launched (where it had previously not worked due to Intel integrated GFX card)
However, it launches in what I'm assuming is the lowest resolution (ignoring the settings I choose before launching) and when I go to create a profile I type in the name and click confirm, but no new profile is created.
Also upon exit, the game crashes and gives an error report.

From where did you get the game? Attach HPL.log as said in the guides...

First, update your Intel HD drivers using the have disk method: http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thr...l#pid89162

Then, since you have steam, do a file integrity check and try to run the game again.

Reattach me the hpl.log file afterwards.
