Cant Play Black Plague

Solved: 8 Years, 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Cant Play Black Plague

Hi. I just purchased the Penumbra trilogy Steam bundle and I can play both Overture and Requiem fine but Black Plague crashes. On Black Plague the tutorial and intro play but it crashes when trying to load the first level. Here I have attached my HPL file.

Check the cache integrity of the game in Steam and see if that helps. If not then try to run the game as administrator as it probably crashes when it tries to write a new file to the game installation directory but fails as it does not have permission to do so.

I managed to get it to play up to level 16. Its playing now but everytime the game tries to load level 16 it crashes. Here is my HPL:

Either the level is missing, corrupt or similar. So might have to re-install or check cache integrity again.

Mine won't even load the first level. I got Black Plague on Amazon.com and it crashes when I try to load the first level. I will click to see if it's not working and it will say "penumbra.exe is not responding" How do I fix this?

If you can't follow number four on that page... I just don't know what to tell you. All you need to do is follow one of the directories, listed at the bottom in the spoiler tag, that matches your OS (Operating System. Mac, Linux, Windows) and in that directory, you will find a file called "hpl.log". When you make a response, you can either "Add Attachment" and locate the hpl.log, or open the hpl.log in notepad or any text editor based on your OS, copy everything in there, and paste it in a response.
