The reason your buttons arent appearing is because you're on a laptop (correct?) and the screen ratio is too wide for maya....

You did yea... But learning maya is pretty hard when you get home from school... I guess i'll wait for holidays before i'll start.

I knew because I tried using 2008 and 2011 on my brother laptop which was a bad idea.

Something you can do is right-click that area and change the option you want to use to view. It can get annoying, and such, but it's better than nothing. Otherwise, just find the outliner, hypergraph, hypershade through the menus at the top. Hold space bar to choose which orthographic view you want to use (or tap it if you still have that option available).

P.s. - it's better to use maya with a desktop anyways... Smile
