i am a gameplay guy danny. and like i said, TF2 is pretty adult for its gameplay,. as it has a gameplay style that will primarilly be remembered by adults, medkits, high running speed, no hints what so ever, fixed crosshairs, no gunlimit, point shooting instead of ADS, etc, an FPS.

when i say something is kiddy, i refer to the MMS with its squads, slow running speeds, health regeneration, CONSTANT controll hints, 2 weapons only, and a shooting experience based on the pathetically low accuracy of some NRA nutcase at a target range and not the training and point shooting and recoil controll abilities of a professional soldier.

the asthetics and story have no say in how i rank a game, only the gameplay.
i hope ive made that clear now, sorry i didnt make it clearer before.

@ zaffre. the 11 year old, he sounds good for a chillout session just cruisin the city in a 'vette. he wont be some deathfight obsessed rage quitting "yo mom is a fag" 'xboxlivetard' like 80% of online gamers now it seems

@the chaser. i dont want to start another cod thing either, hence why i now say MMS. to refer to "a certain franchise and its clones". its a better system. but, i still think its worth bringing up. especially when you get idiots coming onto games like TF" wich have a totally different gameplay style and ruining it for everyone else on the server, by playing it like an MMS, screaming abuse at everyone, and then ragequitting when someone frags him with little more than the handgun!

Well, it seems like there's quite some people in this thread Wink

My opinion: Kids should be more controlled. The internet is the internet. There's a lot of people, and kids (as natural) think they are the center of earth. Parents take care of 'em, they have friends, they have a value, etc.

They think that when playing an internet game it will be similar. The truth is hard, but, nope.

They should assume that they play with unknown people and that they are just another player. I must say too that there's people who abuses of them and it's not ok.

About that COD thing: I don't want to start ANOTHER CoD thing, but that game is specially designed for kids. Think about it. I've played the first CoD and it's pretty damn good. As more people knew it, more bulls**t it became. Then, the game makers saw that kids were the main audience (with teenagers too) and made games specially for them.

TF2 is a really good game, and, if you do it ok, people normally tolerates you. Kids are really intolerant sometimes, and that is what makes people angry a lot of times.

And I played Halo, Doom 3, Unreal Championship (god I loved that game. I'm watching battles right now on Youtube), and a few other Rated M games before I was even 10/11. Not once was I like the kids these days. Why? Because unlike myself, a majority of the kids nowadays are spoiled (usually from divorces. Parents want the child to play favorites, so they get spoiled with gifts and privileges I didn't get til I was 17), undisciplined, and take everything for granted. There is nothing we can do about it. All we can do is mute the little bastards and if we're given the chance, kick them from the game. Mommy and daddy are going to back them in everything, so they behave however the fuck they want. It's a shame...

And the bad mouthing? That comes from games like Call of Duty. The sassy teenagers get on, run their mouths, and kids mimic what they hear (you know how funny it is when a 6 year old goes "YOU'RE BAD KID!!". I swear xbox teaches them sex ed faster than school...
