How do you feel during a chase?

I do feel tense, or a sense of urgency. But mainly since I know when and where they'll appear -- if I'm going to get myself into danger it is only intentional, otherwise I typically get things prepared for my get-away by placing boxes in certain places to obstruct the monsters path when they give chase.

On the chance that I know the monster is right behind me..... I'm like; "C'mon, c'mon, run... Run!" all the while I'm leaning in closer to the monitor... Seriously, I feel like I get tunnel vision and all I can see is what's on the screen (no peripheral vision).

The place this usually happens is when I play the storage level and run passed the final monster... where I go down-stairs then jump on the boxes and onto the platform towards the right.

For every chase sequence I'm so focused that I hardly remember what I did.

However, afterwards, when I'm safe, my heart beats 10x faster while I just sit there relieved.

Anyway, when monster started to chase me at the first time. I found out that the game is too damn loud and adjusted the volume down.

I feel very horrified and scared when I see the monster appear and when it starts chasing me(this especially counts with the brute) I start to feel my heart beat and pound and I start to sweat too. It's scary
