RE: 2008-05 Tuesday 13th, Black Plague available for Mac & Linux - Windows gets Unbir
Also, the crash might not be map specific but rather the number of map changes that you make. Happy to hear all suggestions on how to lengthening the gameplay

RE: 2008-05 Tuesday 13th, Black Plague available for Mac & Linux - Windows gets Unbirth
After all those crash reports I am wondering is it possible to finish Unbirth???
Can someone give us the correct order of the maps from start to finish, so when we try to load them manually, we at least play trough the game in the correct level order.

This is wonderful! Thank you Thomas and Jens!
Sadly I have hardware problems with my computer so I can´t try Unbirth right now.

How do you load a map?
I've tried
load kitchen
load kitchen.APR
load maps\house1\kitchen.APR (and without apr)
load maps/house1/kitchen.APR
And I tried those without the 'load' part in front also, no luck.
EDIT: It crashes after 7 levels are loaded. It does not matter if you are 'backtracking' into levels where you've been before.
EDIT2: ...FLAG 6!
NRM>>FLAG 7!
Could that be it? Would adding more flags increase the amount of levels loaded?
Is there any chance at all we could expect a mini-patch? Even it it means re-downloading the game?
Please -REP me.
Honestly, please do. I want to see how low I can go!!
Ignore that error message too. Just ignore it and keep going to give me -rep.

WindexGlow:
Did you find out what you'll have to write into console so you can load a new map?

Nope. I tried setting the default.cfg like it says in the tutorial to House1/Kitchen and it didn't work either.

To load maps:
Step 1: press ~
Step 2: Write map [folder of map you want to load]/[finename].asp
EX: map house1/kitchen.apr
It seems that the rooms connected to the house do not work. It will cause the game to load for an infinite time when trying to enter one of them, even if you try to load it through the command box.
EDIT: Holy shit frictional games. Your crypt (cemetary) nearly scared the shit out of me..!
Type in the command console;
map cematary/crypt.apr
Please -REP me.

I can't wait for unbirth to come out for mac!
And i also can't wait for HPL2 to be licensed (maybe)
I like horror games but not the ones that give u nightmares :P
But i like the ones that give you an urge to open every door and drawer that you see for a month :D
