Is there any difference between amnesia the dark descent full version and the demo?
Thanks

RE: Difference?

Well, one of them contains the full game and the other contains a short abridged version of the first third or so. But which one is which?

RE: Difference?

I think he's asking if the levels featured in the demo exist in the full game and if so have they been altered in some way. I haven't played the demo so I can't comment Big Grin

RE: Difference?

I know, I just find the way he phrased his question funny. The levels are unchanged although the door that originally leads to the Entrance Hall now leads straight to the Refinery.

RE: Difference?

Spoiler below!
The monster in the demo is a hallucination and will dissappear if you get caught by it.
the one in the full game will chase you and kill you.

To be completely honest I thought he truly didn't know what a demo was at first, hence the sarcasm, but it's inconceivable that someone could be that clueless.

RE: Difference?

Well there is a small difference. At the rainy hall which is the first level you don't usually find the lantern but at the demo this is done for obvious reasons.

Fun fact: You can replace the first map of the demo with the normal game's one with no issues at all. But if you replace the second demo map it will tell you not to use the full game maps at the demo via an error message.
