I have a theory.

Those with nVidia cards, are having lags.
Can we confirm this??

I've got an ATI card

We have released an update for Requiem, http://support.frictionalgames.com/entry/85/.

It mainly improves performance in level 03, 06 and 09.

Yes, the performace was fair. But this patch have some problems:
1. Spawning objects. When I enter some rooms (for example fuse room on level 9) I can't see a floor, but it appears some time after with some big objects, but small ones doesn't appear at all.
2. Perfomance. It's fair but could be much better, and sometimes huge fps drop happends.

Anyway, i have beated the game. Thanks for a patch Penumbra team))

Did you use a save to play level09? If so then yes I can imagine this sort of problem could appear. If not could you give some more information on how you played for this to occur?

Hey guys, I believe the issue is with dynamic lighting.

I did a quick test with no lighting effects, static and then dynamic.

The test showed a significant improvement with game performance with no lighting effects enabled.

With static effect applied the game was slightly slower in certain areas like the very beginning.

With full effect applied the game lagged badly and the screen tore whenever I looked at a dynamic light source.

I hope this helps with any future patches since the 1.01 patch didn't fix my lag issue.

Thanks,

Neil

Seems that update does not fix my level 9 problem Sad I have tried to change every settings low and off, no avail. Anything else you could suggest? I have Nvidia Geforce 8500 GT. I am getting desperate..
