Aside form the screen tearing (which doesn't happen in windowed mode) I have another issue - Stuttering.

The game stutters just before a something happens and it's very annoying in a game like this - I can actually tell something "scary" is going to happen before it happens because the game will freeze for half a second. It does this every single time.

My specs are -
iMac 27-inch, Late 2012
Processor: 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB
Software: OS X 10.8.4

Ok,the screen tearing is fixed (turn off the newly added "adaptive vsync" in options) and I have finished the game. I thought it was fantastic but the mild stuttering still occurs throughout. It's not game breaking but it does hinder experience. People on the PC threads are having the same issue, I'm sure it's not my mac.

I'm having the same issue with stuttering and lag. I've tried everything that's been suggested in every thread; editing the .cfg file, turning the graphics down as low as they can possibly go, shutting all background programs off. Nothing helps at all. The game is not literally broken due to this, but the immersion is what makes games in this series so enjoyable, and the constant stuttering ruins the atmosphere, rendering it more or less unplayable in my mind.

I'm not sure if I wait for a patch (it sounds like many others are experiencing this problem) or try to pursue a refund on Steam. I loved The Dark Descent (which ran perfectly on this same computer) and hope a fix is on its way so I can experience this game too!
