Game won't start

So,i basically tried everything,i bought the game today from steam and when i tried to start it up the game wouldn't start,so i tried to start it from the AAMFP folder in the steam folder and from there initially it said ''msvcp100.dll missing'' so i did as suggested on here and copy pasted the file from the system32 folder,after copy pasting it when i tried to start the game it just says " The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) Click OK to close the application. " ,so i tried to uninstall the whole Visual C++ stuff and reinstalling it from the latest one on the windows site,nothing changed,the game doesn't even start,and i cant find that HPL.log because probably the game not starting doesn't even make it.

Solutions ?

EDIT : i got a GTX 660 Ti as graphic card,updated to the latest drivers,so NO,its not the intel stuff problem.
EDIT2 : i also tried the verify integrity cache files from steam and everything was ok

Have you removed the msvcp100.dll from the game folder after you re-installed the visualc++ redist? If not do that and see if that works, if not, is the error yet msvcp100.dll missing? What visualc++ download did you use?

Yeah,basically,i even tried reinstalling it,the game folder miss the msvcp100.dll when its brand new installed from steam,if i try running it,it says im missing that .dll so i can't run it,so i copy pasted it from the sistem 32 folder in Windows,when i do that it says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) Click OK to close the application." after that i tried uninstalling the whole visual c++ stuff and reinstalling it from this download :

So,uninstalled,rebooted the pc,installed it from that link,tried to run it and it still says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) Click OK to close the application." ,if i try to remove the msvcp100.dll it says im missing that .dll even after.

and please let me know which (if any) worked. I am currently working on fixing our installer so it includes and installs the correct of these so would be useful to know for me.


also can you say what CPU you have and what Windows version you are running and if it is 32-bit or 64-bit (assuming 64-bit from the link you posted).

GTX 660 Ti
6GB ram ddr3 triple channel
Asus P6T
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

I arrived at the 4th area (just to hide spoilers) and so far not a single crash/slow/anything and im running it at max specs,ill keep this updated if some weird crash happens

Ok so,final update,just finished the game and not a single crash/bug throughout the whole game great work and good job ^^
