Idea: Unofficial Frictional Games Podcast

I like the idea. But I agree that a half hour would be better than an hour, as it allows enough time for conversation, but would help limit meandering.

Good question! I think an audio podcast would be much easier to do, but if anyone has the wherewithal to do video that'd be great.

I made one thread about SOMA, which is just a list of facts and news articles. The podcast is just an idea at the moment, anyway.

Yeah, I think you're right. And as Kia said, it can run longer if need be.

To make it easier on everyone's schedule we can have several hosts who take turns or something.

I don't think there is enough news or stuff to discuss to warrant a regular podcast. Maybe if it were a podcast to discuss horror games in general - to me that would be more sensible.

I think it would be wonderful to talk about games (Or just horror games), Amnesia mods, and have chats with content creators in general.

You have no idea how satisfying, and ego-inflating it is for small time mod creators like us (Or just me) to get interviewed...even if it's by people we know lol.

Haha kewl. This is what I had in mind for the podcast, not just SOMA news (I know how sparse that is!). CS creation and related topics will provide an unending well of material to talk about, even if there were no other topics we could cover. Which there are!

If a podcast is a little too ambitious how about an e-magazine? At least in that case we'd have the visual medium to work with, so CS creators could have screenshots of their work included and such.

Anyone with an interest in journalism or writing in general can hone their skills and expand their CV by working on it.

So many possibilities...

I think that actually requires MORE work than a podcast from certain perspectives. You would need someone who is well-informed on how to properly design a magazine layout (Pictures, words, font, overall layout), and you would need someone to write the thing instead of just talking spontaneously during a podcast which imo takes much less effort.

I'd also love to join as long as I don't have to prepare anything, and talk completely out of my ass on radio hehe Smile

EDIT: Oh and I'd have to get myself a new microphone as well. The one connected to my headphone right now is being very stubborn.

I'm flattered, and I'd love to. Problem is I don't have the equipment to do so (and I'm a bit shy). But I could get the mic and stuff in a little bit. A bit of pre-prepared material would help tons.
