Water fog problem

Hey.
I'm having a problem here, that the water plane isn't affected by fog areas.
Is there a solution to this?

I searched but was unable to find anything relevant.

None so far. I actually do that once and saw that (most) of the planes isn't affected by fog areas.

Yes, so i thought it would be possible.
In my map you'd never be able actually touch this edited water. It's only for cinematic purpose.
So as long as it looks a little bit like water i'd be satisfied.

RE: Water fog problem

you could possibly do a work around by just setting up the plane in a 3D software and assigning the texture there using UVs, then export to amnesia. the downside is that you lose flexibility to change it on the go though.

You lost me at "assigning" Smile
I'm sorry that I'm not very experienced in 3D softwares, but could you explain a little more detailed?

you make a plane in blender/maya/3dsmax, and you place(assign) the texture on the plane. You then do something called "UV Unwrapping" to control how this texture is put on to the plane, I suggest looking up a tutorial if you want to understand properly.

RE: Water fog problem

Yes, I probably should. I've never used a 3D software before Tongue
