Escape from Brackenburg (Updated)

Despite releasing my custom story last year I have just done an update for it fixing various glitches, improving certain narrative elements and adding additional monster encounters, so I wanted to repost it here for anyone interested in playing it.

It is my first custom story, I was a n00b when making it so didnt want to stray from the standard Amnesia formula, I just attempted to make a scary story with a good atmosphere (and detailed mapping).

Please let me know what you liked and didnt like.

That second screenshot, as good as it is, is FAR too dark on the left side there :3

I'm not sure if its like that in game, fraps recorded quite dark so I raised the gamma on my screenshots, I might have forgot to do it on that one.

That's alright Smile I won't comment anymore on said screenshots, because this thread is for the CS itself :3 I'll probably take a look at it soon Smile

I haven't played your previous version of this story to be honest, but i'll try this now, i'll give a score from between 1 - 10 in my personal score scale, i'll be back.

RE: Escape from Brackenburg (Updated)

It seems to be pretty decent story, well made especially for a beginner. I enjoyed playing it alot. I didn't finish it, it might be because i got bored, that must be because the length and my patience, which isn't a bad thing per se, vice versa. But this far i've found some flaws i want to mention: Primitive tile of amount was left 1 on all textures, i cannot accept that, in future use smaller values like 0,3 or 0,5, anything that makes the texture look more "bigger".

Second thing: Improve your lighting, add boxlight to maps, they were too dark and covered important detail, the light gobos were sometimes off too, some winows didn't illuminate gobo at all and there were maybe too bright billboards here and there.

And to story, it was good and simple, better love story than Twilight.
No complaining expect i found some typos, which is ironical since this
review too contains typos and grammatical errors.

And on more important thing, make your enemies less annoying,
there was a moment where was this one pervert harassing me the whole level, everytime i hided, he came to look for me and when i though he left, he tricked me, he was actually humping the wall.

7 out of 10. Good but nothing that outstanding.

thanks, you just convinced me to give this CS a try

Sorry but we cannot change your avatar as the new avatar you specified is too big. The maximum dimensions are 80x80 (width x height)

edit... Never mind. I was mistaken about the switches in the last area.

When exiting - the music still plays over the title screen music.

The picture leaning against the wall in the Parlor is too close to the wall to where part of the wall is showing through the painting.

In the Wine Cellar, the room with the 3 stacked beds in one corner... Examine some of the corners of the platforms that are around the table/s. Something is missing on those.

The cell with the note that ends with "I MUST NOT DIE HERE" still doesn't have a ceiling.

A small nit-pick but look closely at some of the lights casted onto the ground/floor and see if they match the window frames said light is coming through. Then again, I'm not sure what all there is to pick from for those types of effects.

Yeah, I'm paying extra close attention here, but only because I like this CS. Also, some of the notes need apostrophes for their contractions, I've noticed numerous im spellings of I'm, and a misspelling: an important key not an inportant key.
