There is a short sighting of the monster when you're in the secret tunnels and you look into a room with a cage-bed. It runs away from you when you flip a lever. If you don't see any monsters in the basement (I assume you mean the basement where you fall down the stairs from the earthquake in the beginning of the section), there might be something wrong with your copy of the game. In that case, try reinstalling it.

I already got in the Church now. Where's there a pig in the cross.
I didn't see the monster when we were to fill the fuel case but the music got up to me.

Even though it's not as powerful as ATDD, it still packs a punch.

I don't think you were supposed to see it. I got really scared and panicky though, ripping the fuel case from the tank and hauling ass out of there.

Haha, the fuel tank wasn't empty yet so I bolted there without it. I made it all the way to that mini-storage room before I realized: "FUCK, I have to go back!"

Yes, it's the exact same basement with the fuse puzzles. I didn't see any monsters and I bought AAMFP directly off MacGamesStore, so I believe my copy is legit.

Made it to the church, about to descend into the hole beneath the altar, still no sighting of a monster yet. I definitely heard some pig-thing squealing when I filled up the container for the truck puzzle, though. But when I looked around I didn't see a thing.
