RE: Random Stuff
The reason why he wanted to keep Crimea is because of the Black Sea, by having his control, influence, military presence and a navy in Crimea he has basically established connections to the rest of Europe, which he wouldn't have if he didn't control Crimea. If he lost his influence to the EU then he wouldn't have the control over the Black Sea like he does now.
The troubles in Ukraine gave him a reason to go into the country and keep the pro-russia Crimea safe from the rest of the disturbance in Ukraine, and so he held a referendum on the island for whether the island should remain Ukrain or join Russia and Russia won, no fuss, only politics.
He undoubtedly handled the whole situation very well. To be fair, the only ones exciting the whole idea of Russia taking over the world, or the talk about "a new cold war" is the US and Europe, Russia is relatively chill about things, they wanted the waters, and they got it.

Russia is actually calm about all of this because the EU won't impose sanctions because they heavily rely on Russia. Oil, Banks and if the EU does impose sanctions on Russia then you can see economic drops in European nations.
Austria depends on Russia for their banks. If Russia's econ falls then Austria can get tangled up also.

Basically they know their valuable position. I doubt Russia will invade any other countries like other nations suggest, he would need a reason to do that and so far there is none. The whole Crimea deal was politically sound but moraly low, he did it because he had to. And he had a reason to go in.

Sorry but we cannot change your avatar as the new avatar you specified is too big. The maximum dimensions are 80x80 (width x height)

RE: Random Stuff
How would you spell this: "Day Hallowed" or "Day Sanctified", which one would make more sense grammatically?

Get a new pair? Maybe they don't fit your facial structure. Also, you don't look like an idiot.

Sanctified sounds better to me, without context it's hard to determine grammatical correctness though.
