I've had some problems with my pc. Well, with games actually, but I think it's because of my pc. I've played a couple of games and in every single one I've encountered a couple of 'lag' issues. The screen freezes for a short duration a couple of times before it returns back to normal. Is it because I don't have enough RAM? I thought 4gb was enough, but I'm not sure. I thought it was because I have all my games on an external hard disk, which is connected with an usb-cable.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Well, the read/write from that disk to your computer is bottle-necked by however fast the usb is, try plugging it into the back of your computer (one of the usb slots int the back) they are generally higher-powered then the front. Also, RAM wouldn't necessarily cause this.
Clean out your computer give it a good dusting.
How much space is left on the EHDD/Regular HDD Try to keep at least 50-60 gigs open for normal computer usage (on each)

I don't think the performance of any game running from an external device will be impacted besides the loading time.
