I've watched Ghostbusters, but not Gravity.
Seems interesting enough; space and all.
7 Oscar worthy experience, apparently.

Wasn't worth the ticket price, in my opinion.

I went and watched the new Dracula: Untold couple weeks back... oh boy...
it's one of the worst shows I've ever witnessed at cinema.
It wasn't horrible per se, but had full loads of clichés and flaws in the plot, with directing.
I was expecting something more, not a story of a golden boy, who says he's not a golden boy, and is a bat, whose weakness is sunligth now and then. Better title for the movie would be: Bats vs Turks, judging how the battling went.

It's a very simple and short movie with minimalistic plot, but I think that the core of the experience comes from....well...the "experience". Watching the desolation of space, and the helplessness of Newton's Laws in zero-gravity tearing everything to shreds with its almighty power in awesome visual fidelity is definitely really amazing to me.

I'd like to propose the movie The Prestige. It has an incredibly advanced plot, but if you're able to keep up it is really satisfying and interesting. It's about 2 rival magicians (real life magicians who perform illusions to trick people), and how they try to outsmart each other. What's interesting is that the line between good and evil is very subjective. Actually, a lot of the movie is very subjective. I recommend it.

I've heard of Prestige, but I've never heard of Donnie Darko, this being the first time actually. Must be an older movie, I presume.

I'll note up those both movies to my watch list.

Donnie Darko isn't that old, it has Jake and Maggie Gyllenhall (Rachel in the second Batman) in it. Besides that, it's a great movie, a real mindfuck. Worth seeing.

If you've read Heart of Darkness, or know its themes, I can really recommend Cannibal Holocaust by Ruggero Deodato. It's a bit gory, the animal killings are actually real for instance.

I've sort of grown an intense dislike towards these remakes of extremely archaic characters with tons of edgy and modern tropes, like that Frankenstein movie from earlier this year. I just can't watch them, they don't bode well with me.

If you're looking for movies currently in theaters, I'd suggest both Gone Girl and Interstellar. I've also watched Gravity, and while I'd suggest it for being a visual masterpiece, I'd suggest Interstellar since it's a lot more of a deep and substantial.

Don't know am I going to cinema anytime soon, but if I do, I'll make sure to watch one or the other.
Most likely I am not, but when I've finished watching every film interesting, those both films will be released on Bluray. So I won't miss them, if they shouldn't be missed for a reason or another.
