The wonders of a high poly normal map bake! =] It's pretty standard in the industry anymore.

Just finished this Christmas present for someone special. And just in time, too! Guess I'll never learn proper time management...
Highpoly model, created in Max, rendered with mental ray, render pass composition, tweaking, overpaint, background and whatnot done in Photoshop. It's sort of a a re-design of an existing character... a virtual christmas cookie for everyone who knows which one it is. ^^
