RE: Overture - Graphical issues.
Minor progress.
Raz0rx, try disabling the steam ingame overlay.
That made me able to see the ground in the first arctic stage of episode 1.
The game actually ran flawless for a minute - until i reloaded the level.
When I tried reloading the stage a couple of times to test it properly, on the second and third run the ground stayed there, but some wierd vertex problem came up I'm guessing. Huge triangles are stretching out of everywhere.

Wow.
Your problems are even more screwed up than mine at that point in the game.

RE: Overture - Graphical issues.
What about if you guys would post the hpl.log file from you're computer?
Mostly it helps Developers to see what is the problem with the game... Though I can't promise anything that it WILL.
If the log file is very long:
Use the spoiler tags - [*spoiler*] [/*spoiler*] - without the * .

Yeah, that's only after setting all the graphics to low, and turning everything off.
It's not that bad when I'm running it all maxed out.
The two pictures in my original post are what it's normally like.
EDIT:
Here's my log file as you suggested, Scraper.

RE: Overture - Graphical issues.
Logfile:
Edit;
"WARNING: Texture 'oldmachine_lambert5-fx' was not found!"
It actually admits to missing some textures in your log.
Thats always something, i guess..

RE: Overture - Graphical issues.
Scraper, since your game is working correctly, are you able to post your own log file so we can compare and see what the differences are?
Might be a better way to help the devs solve the issue with as little personal detective work as possible.

RE: Overture - Graphical issues.
Sure! But as I see, there's nothing really strange going on with the file of yours... O.o
EDIT:
@ Greenie
I guess something goes wrong badly with you're game...
Here's mine:
EDIT: I deleted the log, served it's purpose.
