Dll files missing (can´t afford premium!)

Hey

I bought SOMA because i have the requirements to play it (http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri)
anyway, the system had an error when i launched it dirctly from the file folder (because it didn´t run un steam) and said that an ´´.Dll´´ program was uninstalled. So then i looked for a solution and the dll page appered. I don´t know if this is legit or not, but i downloaded the app and it said that i need to buy it, FOR FREAKING 29.99! Money don´t grow from the trees, do they? I need an assist for this because i can´t afford the app, what do i do?

Which .dll is being reported missing?

Did you buy SOMA on Steam or Gog? They each have a method of repairing the installation. Steam has a Steam File Integrity Check and Gog has a "Repair Installation" command of some sort. Try performing those as well.

No, don't buy dll libraries. These are either fake or money grabbers. You can find missing libraries online from their official developers if need be.

For your issue, check Problem A8 of the Troubleshooting Guide.

How do i check the steam file integrity check? i bought it on this though

Firstly, check and follow the instructions at Problem A8 of the guide as suggested by plutomaniac: https://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-30585.html

If it still does not work, follow Problem I on the same page. It will give you instructions on how to perform an Integrity Check.

the dll files doesn´t show up, but i can attach the hpl.log here and maybe it will show the dll missing file

What exact error do you see upon launching the game?

What operating system and architecture (x86/x64) do you have? What graphics card? Share some system info with us.

It´s a x86 with an intel core i5 with the lastest drivers installed, and now steam says that is running, and acually the tool admin. says that is running but it does not show up.
Also i finished Amnesia:the dark decsent 5 min. ago Big Grin

SOMA requires a 64-bit system to run. It uses more than the maximum 2GB of RAM to which 32-bit (x86) systems are limited.

But i have an 8GB o RAM in here and it works with other more-requirments games, like Alien:Isolation. Also, according to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri , it has the minimum requiements to play it at least. Also, it wasn´t a 86, it was 64 bit, sorry :/
