2. Is it a laptop or a desktop? If a laptop, what model?

I am in the same boat as heartagram6child. I have read through the forum as well, and I understand practically nothing.

I also keep getting this message:
Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module at 001B:00000000

laptop, ASUS k50AF
ATI mobility radeon HD 5145
windows 7 x86 32bit
all drivers updated.

If you have a desktop you can upgrade your graphics card. Even the cheapest ones run Amnesia just fine.

I fully reinstalled all of my drivers and now its run perfectly.

You need to go to nvidia.com and download the latest drivers available for your card (geforce 7600gs) and operating system. Then install them, reboot and should be good to go.
